Jammie Race for the Big Kids!

This year Court was ahead of the brothers and it appeared he would win the Jammie Race... that is until Kenny threw Nate's socks down the stairs... and Nate just borrowed Courts socks... Boy... these Martin Brothers will do almost anything to win.

Mark...Set...Go!
My favorite pic of the year... Lauren wondering when it is safe to open her eyes! Winner...Winner...Winner! If you count that he has Court's socks on...

Dave comes is second... what up with this... is Dave losing his edge?

Grandkids Jammie Race '09

Jammie Races have been a tradition since our children were toddlers. Believe it or not this is the one tradition everyone talks about the whole year... we hear things like... "Mom put too much tape on my box." or "Bam cheated cause he put his jammies on over his clothes." or "I was winning until Kenny threw my socks down the stairs." All of course in good fun... the tradition is proudly being passed down to the grandkids.
Daddy and Mommy helping Emma...
Daddy helping Brady...
Krampa helping Ry-Ry... she actually calls him "Krampa"... so cute!
Landon is the Winner for the grands race.
Sweet little granddaughters!

Christmas Eve Charades...

One of our favorite Christmas Eve traditions after the little ones are all tucked in for the night is to play charades. This is done in teams... and always promises fun and laughter.

Christmas 2009...

We all gathered to celebrated Christmas last weekend... Everyone came to sleepover for Christmas Eve...
The traditional Nativity story was performed as grampa read the account from the Bible. Lauren was our Mommy Angel and helped all the Baby Angels with their assignments.
Brady protested being a shepherd...and opted for Angel Gabriel so he could blow grampa's bugle. RyAnne was a Fairy Angel and sprinkled baby Jesus with magic dust. Emma is just the sweetest little angel...she is just happy to hang out with the other angels.
Uncle Dave provided transportation for the little angels.
